"Loyalty or liberty?" That was the question that many colonists were faced with during the American Revolution. It was not an easy decision for many people to stay loyal to the British government or to break away  from the government through war. The consequences were great for whichever side people chose. Some lost their businesses, properties, friends, families, or their lives.
